I'm going to be getting my wheels refurbed and need a set of really cheap, don't care what they are (except must fit z4m) wheels for my zed to sit on in the garage whilst this happens/over winter.

What have you got... must be cheap mind ;)

I take it the garage is too small to take the wheels off inside ? Otherwise 4 axle stands will be very cheap...

The other option is just to leave the car with the company refurbishing the wheels. Lepsons stored my wife's car for free when they did hers, though I'm not sure that offer is national, or if it will be available come winter.

Axle stands isn't really an option sadly. Unless I get 2 done at a time.
And these would be for winter storage to avoid flat spots.

If not in any rush some will pop up  look out for E60 5 series 17s as these have very low offset needed to clear the M calipers  .

Darn! You posted this about 20 mins after I had been at my folks and so some reason my Dad has quite a few sets of BMW OEM wheels especially E60 ones that as Mr Wilks points out would fit. If you've not managed to source anything by the weekend I'll be popping back down so I'll check.

When I had mine done, the refurb company provided me with axle stands - straight forward enough to get the car up on stands, and on the correct load points so no stress. Also meant I could get in and around the wheel wells easy to do some cleaning :)

A bit more info might help
- Where are you based?
- What do you consider cheap? <100, <200?

I have a set of 18" Style32's that I need to shift (haven't got round to taking pics yet). Two decent tyres, tyre bordeline legal rears. All need a refurb. Happy to let them go for £200 collected.

I'm based in Somerset, price wise sort of £100 ish as the wheel will never hit the road again so just need them to sit in the car whilst refurb is done then stand over winter.

Was kinda hoping to find some steels or some plain ugly ones for even less but eBay ain't showing up anything.

Chris at Exel will give you a set of loan wheels, whilst he gets yours refurbished.

Mention the 911uk forum and you may get a bit of a discount. He's done loads of wheels for forum members over there and has a very good rep.

He basically offers a collection/deliver servce and actually gets the wheels refurbished by Lepsons (i think) rather than doing it himself.

70 quid with tyres...

Need to make sure these will fit.

Emailed the company and they cannot supply any info re: offset or bore size :( Googling to find more info. Thanks for the link though!
