Wanted: Roof "side covers"

Hi! I am looking for some roof side covers, the ones that cover the both sides of the roof when it is folded down. Ideally in Black...

IIRC a pair of black ones sold on fleabay recently for a similar price to what they go for at the stealers

I think I know the ones you mean. I missed them :( they went for around £50. I tried BMW they want over £90!

I found a seller in the USA. He is selling them well below £90 but then there is the hassle of our borders and the duties/vat.

What amazes me though is that the seller is selling the black ones at high cost, yet the the beige are only around $45!?

I was the winner of these, they were £50 including delivery which I feel is a fair price. I am not sure what stealer qouted you around £50? I checked the price of these before I placed my bid, and as Navid quite rightly shows in his above post they are well over £100 from the stealers.

was thinking of getting a pair of these but wasn't sure if you needed to take them off when the soft top was raised or can you leave them on all the time?

you've got to remove them each time, if I am correct.

sod that then, that puts the dampers on spur of the moment lowering and raising of the roof at traffics lights.

Thanks for replies; it seems that prices are much better on non-matched interior colour, i.e. Beige is around £40 posted from the USA. Maybe this and colour match would be more economical.

Agree; they are a lot of money for just some vanity... for the roof gaps  I try and get lucky on ebay, some went on German ebaY again for around £40...

Just to clarify they have to be removed to raise the roof. If you forget as the roof rises it just rips them off and damages the clamps.

Did that a couple of times and then sold them on as II want to raise and lower the roof at will and not get out every time to remove and store.

I bought them at the stealers when I bought the car but rarely use then. Although everytime I have put the roof up with them in they just land on the floor damage free. The clamps twist to lock into place.

They do however reduce the buffering sound you sometimes get in the void of the sides

...and over time the twist clamps become stretched or in my case break into their component parts.

Also not a cool look picking them up at traffic lights.

Granted though while on they fill a gap and look neat.

I bought a set from a member on here and to be honest I bought them to fill in the gaps when the hardtop is on, as others have said they are a hassle if want to raise and the lower the roof quickly. That said they do just seem to finish things off when the roof is down.
