Wanted: O/S Window winder/regulator

Hi there,

I'm after the drivers side window winder, rails etc. for my 03 Z4 if anyone has one?

Had a look at the ebay 'rebuild' kits, sounds a bit of a faff going on what people have said on here, so looking for a complete unit if poss.

There is one on ebay, but they're after almost as much for a second hand one as brand new from BMW!! :headbang:

Just had mine done at BMW and they charged a fortune to fit it. They invoiced me for £455 for doing the work, and after 15 minutes of arguing they dropped it down to £297.

The part you're after is £130plus VAT. Hope this helps
 
Just buy rebuild kit, it only cost £24 and dead simple to replace, did on my car not so long ago

How come so many people find it such a ball ache? I'd like to use the £24 kit (my passenger side has gone) but not if winding the cable is like appearing on the Krypton Factor!
 
Might consider the kit, do they come with everything that's needed? I understand you have to drill out something and put it back with nuts and blots?

Can't find any decent 'how-to's' and the youtube video seems a little vague.

just have to give it a go and try.

Last time I popped to the breakers and took the whole mechanism out of one, only cost me £30, but they've not got any z4's in at the moment :(
