Wanted: MR

I did a track day in the Exige on Saturday, got home, washed the car, had a viewing and agreed the sale that evening. So I now have an empty garage awaiting a Z4. I want a roadster and the 3.0 makes most sense as I'd like to free up a bit of cash. BUT, I drove an M for the first time on Monday and just love the noise and the extra exclusivity. Shame about the reduced boot space, but think I'm still favouring the M, ideally in blue, silver or grey.

Does anyone know this one?:

Looks quite nice, maybe slightly underpriced even for a non-BMW dealer? I'd be checking the 1200 mile service on that one, but if it otherwise checked out then it seems like a decent car. Lack of nav a slight problem but not at that price.

This car was also for sale elsewhere a few months ago, I'm sure it the same one as it has after market front and rear parking sensors which put me off.

The advert does not relate to the car though? It states blue as a colour and the pics are grey.

Hadn't noticed about the colour but the advert does state parking sensors front and rear though

It could be mistakenly described as blue, that grey has a very minor blue tinge to it, in the same way that sterling grey has a very minor brown tinge to it.

My quartz blue 1 series has been described as 'grey' by people but it is most definately blue!

I would say it is quite well priced. I am selling an 08 with a few less miles and a similar specification for £20,000.

I have had an offer this evening of 19750 on my car from a buyer, and I am considering whether or not to accept it at the moment.

Great looking car, but I'm looking for one a bit cheaper than that.

texasjohn, is that from someone on here? TBH as per your other thread I'd pay the "fine" on the company car and swap it out and keep the ///M. Seems a shame to let it go for such a price.

No, it's from a buyer who has seen it on Autotrader, it's on there for 19995.

The 'fine' to hand back my company car early is £3564 and I am not sure if there is VAT on top of that or not. In theory the company should be able to write that off.

Sorry to hijack your thread, but i too am shopping for an MR. There is an enormous price differential between the BMW approved cars and private/non BMW trade sellers - much more so than other cars.

Does anyone know why this might be?

I have had three different prices for my car from BMW dealers, all against MR's at £19k and the price for mine varied from £13k up to £14.5k so it's not just M's that will vary.
