WANTED: Intravee

To be honest you'd be better off buying new at £156 delivered and picking up the Alpine KCA 420i for about £35 on eBay. Everyone seems to think the two items are worth £200 plus delivery for second hand items, doesn't make sense to me.

+1 but I think your talking more like £50-£60 dor the alpine unit from eBay. That's why I think people value a second hand set up at about £200. It's not like they get worn out!
 
prices really vary on fleabay, anywhere between £150 - £200+ when I was looking. I managed to get one from somebody on here although it was never advertised for sale.

Other places to look ares x5world.co.uk or what ever it's called these days, and any E46/E39 forum
 
They come up fairly regularly over on M3Cutters.co.uk too, although you need to be a member.

There is one for sale on there at the moment just spotted... IV2 and KCA 420i, he's got it listed for £250, but open to offers by the looks of things. (I'm not connected to the seller, just spotted it).
 
A lot of people advertise the KCA-420i at £50 or over but they can be bought for £30 or slightly over. There are 2 on eBay just now which had a buy it now price of £35 before some eejits started bidding on them. I bought one a few weeks ago for £30 and I was the only bidder.

Whilst I still think that buying the Intravee new is the best option, here's a link to one that's for sale just now along with a KCA-420i with the wake up mod. I think the buy it now price for that was £220 before the bidding started. The seller has been active on the Intravee forum so I think it would be a safe bet to purchase from him. He's selling the 2 KCA-420i's I mentioned above as well.

Ok been offered one for £180 (with the KC420) Is that a good price? (not from someone on here btw so feel free to be honest ;) ) Is there anything else I would need?
 
I think that's a fair offer. The only thing is the new introvee's have 3 inputs where the old ones only have 1.

Suppose it depends if you need more than one? I have been thinking about DAB

That's not correct. The Intravee is the same but there is an aditional module, the Intravee switch, that has 3 inputs. The Intravee switch is similar in function to the KCA-410c and KCA-400c.

You don't need a switch for DAB, it has a pass through AI-Net port.
