WANTED - foams for 3.0si sound generator

Hi guys

Previous owner took the foams out, and it’s too loud. Whilst I’ve had a go with some speaker foam, I’m not that happy with it so would like some OE foams

If anyone has some lying around, I’d take them off your hands!

I don't think there is anything special about the OEM foam. Speaker foam was probably acoustically transparent, which would defeat the object IMO..

BMW don't list the foam separately, so I assume it comes with the tube..

Pretty sure i have some originals but id have to delve deep very deep into the garage . Don't mind looking if you want them but itl be weekend

Bmw want £45 fo the tube, which includes the foam! Would quite like the original foam if poss as I remember it sounded quite well tuned. At the moment it’s nice and mechanical up to about 4k rpm then it just howls.... but the transition is abrupt and doesn’t sound particularly good IMO.

If all else fails I have some automotive grade acoustic material. It's in a sheet similar to what you would find on the back of trims. Let me know If you want some. It could be rolled up and you could adjust to your liking.
