Wanted: E85 Z4 2.0i or 2.2i

Hi
I have a 2004 Z4 SE 2.2i for sale if you are still interested. Black, red leather interior. Just under 66k.
Very good condition BUT, the airbag warning light( a very common fault )has recently come on after
a service!!!....and won't go off again. PM if you are still interested and I'll give you more info and pics,
if I can work out how to do it!

Regards Paul

Unfortunately, I really do have to stick to my £6k limit. I'm in the process of saving up for another property and buying another car in itself is a bit of a luxury!

Paul, I'll send you a PM but I'm not sure I want the hassle of the airbag warning light on a car which is new to me.

Also, any thoughts on this one guys?

Also remember it is not the best time to be buying a convertible at the moment as prices tend to be a bit higher when the sun is out, I bought mine at the beginning of the year with 10,000 less miles and two years newer than that one on auto trader for the same price. One thing that you might regret is not taking note of what options the owner had fitted, if I could go back in time I would have held out for one with the built in satnav and definitely a wind blocker for example. The wind blockers are hugely expensive to retro fit if you want to stick to OEM I have found.

Maybe worth holding of for a couple of months to research more and get a newer / lower milage car?

That's a very fair comment, I'm not in any mega urgent rush to buy as I've got another car to use on a daily basis anyway. Maybe it is worth waiting until October/November and seeing how the market for Z4's is. As you say, prices will be at a high coming off the back of the summer - something I'd considered but wasn't sure to what extent that affected Z4 prices. Now that you've explained what you managed to get for the same price, I'm tempted to hold on! Thanks for your comment :)

One other thing to research on this forum is the known faults. When I bought mine I found that one of the rear springs was snapped. This is a very well known issue and is relatively cheap to fix (especially if you do it yourself), but it would be a good bargaining tool on the cars price, or you may want to avoid it altogether.
