Thought it was worth a go but I wasn't holding my breath lol.
Cheers mate.

Seems strange there's been no groupbuy etc for these as they're a very simple design, the manufacturers clearly don't know how high the demand is for them!

best off buying the clear ones off ebay.de and tinting the clear part red (leaving the clear indicator circle).

How much are people willing to pay? I've just got in touch with a trader who will offer discount for a group buy but they are roughly £280 + delivery before discount.

edit - also its from USA so I dont know if I'm subject to import tax? I know very little about this kind of thing.

Import tax does not always apply but yes, it probably will!
I really do want some, but £280 is a bit daft. A group buy wont knock enough off unfortunately, £200 absolute maximum I'd say but even that is overpriced

That's what I want, but they're never for sale...

Here you go

http://www.ebay.de/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=BMW+Z4+R%C3%BCckleuchten&_sacat=See-All-Categories

i bought mine from this guy:

i offered 100 euro's and he accepted. worked out at about 100 quid with delivery.

I don't think you need to do any colouring in.

We have those on our Z. I had no idea they were a modification, I wouldn't have bought the car if I had known. Anyway, BMW sourced a red bulb for us last time the car went in for an MOT at no cost. Jolly old Sytner in Sheffield again. They always seem to solve these small problems without making a fuss.

I have them on mine fitted with chrome bulbs which are readily available in red and amber and the lights look excellent on a silver car

^ Sure thing. In the Netherlands readily avialable at Halfords for example.

However, if you use the red BMW light:

you barely notice the difference between fog light (obviously red) and reverse light (obviously clear). In doing so you avoid this nasty blueish silverglow of chromed bulbs ...

Can you spot which one is which (one of them thus has the red bulb in it) here? (Picture not edited):

Oh, is something happening with a supply of these nfarmer? :)

Mau, they have Halfords in the Netherlands :o
