WANTED - BMW iPhone Cradle (centre console thing!)

What are you trying to do? If you're not keeping a phone in it and you'll have trailing wires why not a simple cigar lighter adapter? :?

Are you talking about the iPhone snap in adapter? I have one that I don't want cus it doesn't fit my 2007 coupe. But it will cost ya about 50 fine round pounds. :)

Yup, the snap in adapter

I have a charging dock in my ash tray where I keep the phone. My Bluetooth doesn't want to work so I want to try and see if having it connected directly works. If it does then I will simply route (neatly!!) an extension cable from the snap in adapter, under the centre console trim and to the ash tray dock

Meaning I don't have to open up the stupid door each time I get in the car!!

Well mine is available, but it doesn't fit mine so you would need to check yours. Let me know if you want it.

Where are you Rusky? Anywhere near Northampton!? I'd like to try one before hand if anyone is near?

Do you have one Stuart?

Well I am in godmanchester, just off the a14 turn off for wood green animal shelter. You are welcome to pop along.

No, I never bothered as neither the iPhone or my current piece of crap have an external antenna connector and I believed Bluetooth was still the connection to the car. Interested to know if I'm wrong about that.

I'd rather be sending from an iPhone on Tapatalk than this piece of crap Android device...

You might want to check, but I thought the dock was purely for charging and external antenna if applicable.

Stuart ,that is correct the cradle is really a storage device that charges the iPhone and does attach to an external antenna via the connections ,it has no other function certainly in the E85/86

It is... on the e89 also. You can get other adaptors for the e89 for media etc, but the standard adaptor which works in almost all BMWs is to hold the phone, charge it and extend the antenna sensitivity only.

So OP, if you have a bluetooth issue, the adaptor won't help.

Hmm... That's that idea firmly out of the window then!!
Did a diagnostic check on the system which performs a sound and microphone test and they both threw up error :( thought this nay help... Apparently not!
