Can't help, but unless you're aiming for completely standard have a look at the whippy on a 2-series convertible.
Still a whippy but not the full 'sea fishing rod' length.
May be on other models too, but I mention that one as when Vall's went back it was mysteriously wearing a longer one and my E89 was looking slightly better proportioned. :wink:

After all its not the length I keep getting told?
 
Just a word of warning if anyone offers you a number plate holder. The pre- and post-facelift ones are significantly different due to the slant on the front bumper.
