I'm going mad looking for a 3.0 Z4. I have a £8000 budget (Max) and I'm wanting a sub 75k car.

Alzay - be prepared to travel some if you want a nice Z for the £££ you have :wink: , it'll be worth your while. Some members here have brought cars remotely without viewing (from BMW though I think), which is maybe a step too far.........

Hi,

If you want the best deal be prepared to travel some. I'm based in North Lanarkshire and bought my Zed a couple of months back from an independant in Bradford. The choice in Scotland is pretty limited and i picked up a car with better spec, lower milage and better conditon for a grand less than similar cars for sale locally.

Yea I would no problem. Just would mean 4 train journeys and a PITA if its a dud.

Do what I did and hire the cheapest class of car from eurocar for the weekend and then you have transport for the whole weekend to go checking cars out.

I did that 4 weekends in a row till I found the right car.

As iam in the hunt for a zed , iam realy liking the one on piston heads ,just what iam looking for and right on the money, i just hope the guy turns up to but e46 330 at the weekend.

Agree, we did the same when I was buying a car 450+ miles away. Booked the cheapest car (a Citroen C1) but got lucky when we turned up to collect the car - none left in stock, so they upgraded us for free to a 2.0 TDI VW Passat estate with DSG box...
