Vred's Vorti Tyre Pressure?

Just got a set of Vred Vorti's. 225 40 18's from and 255 35 18's rear.

I can't find any information anywhere about tyre pressure.

Does any body know?

Drove home last night and front end felt very light and pressures were put at 40psi by the tyre fitters.

After experimenting with my Michelins with those sizes, found 33psi front & 36psi rear has given even wear & the best traction which are the pressures recommended for the 3.0 E85 Zed running 18" boots

Are they runflats?

Anything over 36 on the rears I experience 'tramlining'

The general forum consensus is between 30 to 32 on the fronts and 32 - 34 on the rears

Got Ultrac Sessanta 235 front and 265 rear on 19s.
Superb ride if pressures around 30-32, anything higher and its crash, bang whallop and all the tramlining in the world.

I usually find it best to start off from stock tyre pressures and modify accordingly. :)[/quote
I can't find any information in the Vredestein website about tyre pressures.
On the tyre it just gives a max which is 51psi.

Meant the car's stock pressures. It's printed on the car's body when you open the driver's door.

I'm not surprised the front end felt light, at those sort of pressures you'll be driving on the centre of the tyre. You'll also get very uneven wear.

You shouldn't be looking at the tyre manufacturers website for this kind of info. They haven't got a clue what kind of vehicle you're going to put the tyre on. All the info is in your vehicle handbook.

Failing that 30-32psi won't be far wrong. :D

So I have Ultrac Vorti 18's. Will they be about the same pressure as yours?

Thanks very much for this sound advice. I wasn't sure if the handbook was relevant to non runflats.

No, they are PS3 non run flats

I tried lower pressures on the rear & found it to be a little soggy, though since changing all the drop links front & rear has improved stability yet another notch.

Most importantly of all, when I changed rears before Xmas (i fitted them from new) the wear across the rear tyres was almost even despite having such a heavy camber, with just a slight bit of extra wear on inside edge going from 2mm to 1.6mm.

Can u just confirm what model you have, as am sure pressures differ from the 2.0 to 3.0

Pretty much I reckon as mine's a 3.0 coupe too but I'm on 19s. .
As Jembo says, start there (30-32) and see how it feels but monitor wear.
Mine being changed soon and all have worn down consistently round the car and across the tyres at 30 front and 32 rear.

Thanks for all the advice. I've decided to start at half way between stock and what you are saying so about 32 on the front and34 on the back
to keep every body happy.

Just been out for a spin on some B roads that I haven't enjoyed driving on since I got rid or my r56 cooperS over three years ago. Such a huge difference over the Bridgestone runflats!!

I had so much more confidence on throttle and brakes. And as there is so much less road noise I can hear the engine better making heal, toe
gear changes so much easier!
