So i have just ordered 4 new tyres from tyreleader.co.uk for my new CSL reps.

I have gone for Vredestein Ultrac Vorti, i have read good reviews online after Mr wilks recommended them.

255/35/19 rear and 225/40/19 front.

Is anyone running these and have user any feedback?

Also what are tyreleader like for delivery times? anyone used them?

Cheers,
Simon

Surely it's a little late to be asking for feedback once you've ordered them...?

I've not used them but have heard good things from a couple of people who have - good comms, speedy delivery etc.

I have had the Vredestein Ultrac Vorti's in those sizes on my 108's for the last 3000 miles (E85 3.0I). Absolutely cannot fault them, excellent grip, less road noise than the Bridgestone run flats that I took off, much better ride, obviously and very little noticeable wear so far. I don't drive like a vicar either! (no offense to any fast vicars)

I chose Ultrac Vorti's when I ditched my run flats. Like you I read all reviews and chose them in front of Michelen and Goodyear. I have ran them for approx 6,000 miles in all situations including a 135mph run down a German autobahn. For me they meet all the criteria. Quiet, grippy in both wet and dry and put you in control . Would I buy them again "in a heartbeat" Enjoy.

Not used Tyreleader but reading other Posts they seem OK.

Tyre leader is fine. Don't be alarmed if front and back arrive from different places at different times!

15,000 miles on my vred vortis run at specified pressures on the door pillar. Still bags of tread all round. Great performance, I'll be buying them again.

You going for larger profile ? Usually 30's on the rear & 35 on the front on 19" tyres.

I know this is an old thread but still relevant. Can anyone shed light on the larger profile? I assume it's for better ride comfort? Please excuse my ignorance of I'm wrong.

Also wondering if the rim protection on the Vortis is as good as the Bridgestone re050a? Anyone has any experience?

The Vortis are great value and a good all rounder, although I’m sure that it’s now only dry weather performance where they can still keep in touch with more modern (and more expensive) alternatives.

Edge protection is about the same as those Bridgestones, although if you mean the runflats, then the sidewalls could probably take a direct mortar hit.

Yes. Not as good as stock 18s but noticeably better than 235/35 and 265/30. The handling is better too, in my opinion, because the rear tyre can handle minor road imperfections without unsettling the suspension (which is stiff and has rubbish travel) as much.

They fill the arches a little better too, the drawback being that they will look a bit odd to people used to seeing Z4s on 19” rims with “CSL” tyre sizes. They are also a surprising amount heavier. I switched used, rear 275/30 for new 265/35 (both Vortis) and they were 1.7kg heavier - each!

I recently fitted new Vred Vorti 19s onto my 35i , still a great tyre & for the money unrivalled imo . £80 more on the set over Uniroyal Rainsports which i still rate highly . Those 2 being the only tyres ive had on the 35i rear that don't flash the TC light from standing starts on cold damp roads & with tyres not warmed up . Same car i have had Ps2 , Ps3 ,Cont5 , PZero & Falkens on & can light it up with ease , the Falkens & Pzero in 1st,2nd & 3rd :P
Rim protection is also very good , similar to Michelin + Conti & way more than Falken
Id happily buy the Vortis again , only took around 15-20 miles to scrub in from new too :driving:

As for the sizes ? 255 35 19 on 9.5 rears just works in every way for me , others prefer less sidewall of 265 30 , i don't think there is a right or wrong there , its personal preference
