Vredestein Quatrac 3s?

Hi all,

After some feedback if possible as to whether anyone has ever run on all season tyres? Just ordered some new rims for the Z3 8x18 RS JK5s for winter use

http://www.rimstyle.com/alloywheels/detail/?car_model_id=1540;wheel=rs_jk5_ss;dia=18;width=8.00l8.00;et=;cat=

Currently running AC Schnitzers with Falken 452s 225s fronts and 255 rears. Plan was to fit full winter tyres 225/40 all round however after doing some research and reading peoples feedback on the Vredestein Quatrac 3s it appears they're as good as winters but with the benefit of being able to run them all year round. I understand the outer half of the tyre has a summer tread and the inner half has a winter tread. Is this too good to be true? Quite like the idea of this as fancy keeping the new rims on the Zed for the time being.

Cheers,

Tim.

If you end up fitting these and leaving them on all the time, what will you do with the other wheels?

They look OK to me as tyres, but if you're going to have two sets of wheels I'd probably stick to your original plan and run winter/summer tyres on two sets of wheels.

Hi Mike,

Will be keeping the Schnitzer alloys and like you say was originally going to go for full winters and swap back over in the spring, but as I fancy a change of alloys anyways its a nice idea of being able to keep the new alloys on the Zed and run them for 18 months or so or when I fancy swapping back :)

This will be the first winter the Z3 has seen in 4 years :o I don't fancy winter alloys for the Z4 as too costly as would prefer winter runflats
