Hi. I've got my z4 up for sale on the forum site and someone has asked for the last seven digits of the vin number so he can check the spec on my car. Do you think this is ok to do. Thanks

There is to many a scamers around, I wouldn't have do that, If he is serious, he could come and have a look what spec car is

He just wants to see what was installed from the factory,

If you are unhappy giving it to him you could check the spec your self using the number plate/ vin number there is a guide in the general how to section on the forum.

as its displayed at the bottom right of your windscreen it shouldnt be a problem - a passer bye can get it too.

nothing wrong with that at all. as said, it's displayed in the windscreen.

you do need the last 7 digits to look up the spec and as many sellers miss out loads of options when selling, it's a good idea to do so.

when i bought mine, the seller didn't even tell me about the electric seats or automatic headlights/wipers.
