Hello from Melbourne, Australia!
I bought these NOS, unopened Stromung mufflers for my 2006 E86M from a BMW collector in New Zealand (he has an M Coupe Clownshoe, an E86 3.0 Si and an E86M amongst others).
He had purchased these before he saw his E86M which he had purchsed from Japan. When the Japanese car arrived, he found it had a custom titanium exhaust system so the Stromungs sat on a shelf…
I just installed them and had a nice long drive with absolutely no drone.
I can still hear my Eventuri intake and the exhaust sings when I’m giving it some throttle. Aussie cars come with Euro headers from the factory, so the sound is fabulous.
I’m loving the mod, I just need to adjust where the mufflers sit but it’s winter and too cold in my garage this week.
Thanks to all the members who’ve posted how to’s and experiences as the tips certainly helped me.
