Vibration through gear stick and peddles

I broke on a step incline as someone reversed out in front of me I got a loud clanking sound when I did not hear it again.

I have just had all discs and pads changed but I don't think it's related as the vibration is directly related to revs and this happens when driving and at a stand still. I have had a burning smell as well can't quite place where it is coming from, stupidly I didn't open bonnet and smell under there when I got chance I don't think it's linked to breaking either.

Any one any ideas?

sticky brake caliper but check engine mounts as well

The vibrations happen when at a stand still so not sure how a sticky caliper would do it. The engine mount is possible as I only heard the sound once and it could of been a bolt snapping, is there a likely candidate? so I know where to look later not been driving it today.

If you search for engine mounts in the e85/e86 sections you'll find a bunch of threads. Many of the pictures will be of Ms (search in the M section too), but I think they're in pretty much the same place as the chassis is the same. I'd have a look for you but I'm on my phone and travelling.
