Very nearly sold my Z4 Stealth Bomber....

Hi folks,

Thought I'd drop in and say hi. New to the forum, and looking for ideas for my Z4. Nearly sold it to get something more practical due to having 2 kids. Couldn't bring myself to do it, and in the end the girlfriend got an upgrade, so I get to keep mine!!! RESULT!! :thumbsup:

I have a 3.0si manual 07 Coupe with Nav etc (good M spec) with 19" black CSL's . Opted for this for mpg and saved a few quid instead of getting the Z4m. Bit more forgiving day to day, as I use it daily. :driving:

I bought the car to work on and modify gradually. Done 103k miles but have worked on it myself and my friends garage keeps it tight as a drum for me. It really is a tight, bullet proof motor. Still feels like new, and Im now gonna keep this baby til either me, or it dies. I love the thing!

I am currently changing its appearance, as cash permits and I am looking for a big brake and disk upgrade soon, if anyone can recommend anything to me. Don't wanna go too expensive if poss.

a few pics of my Z4 stealth bomber. Have made a few paint changes since these pics, as I am changing a lot of what would be chrome trim to the blue colour found in the BMW badge. Have already done the callipers and some engine parts.

Hello & welcome Ged, i remember enquring on ebay about your car but i hadn't sold my car @ the time & i found a dealer to take mine off me hence why i ended up with my current coupe! Looks a great example & your not far from me in Stockport if i remember correctly :)
 
Welcome to the forum, what took you so long? Nice looking Zed you have there - like the alloy colour combo :thumbsup:

Just about to say the exact same thing :)

Looks like a great Zed but those tyres will do the car no favours, enjoy the motor :driving: :thumbsup:

hahaha The tyres will be going once they are worn out. They came with the alloys, so doesn't make much financial sense to just bin them. But yeah you are right, can be a bit slippery to say the least.

To be honest though, I don't drive like a clown very often. When its dry and late on, maybe :wink: :driving:

Had it nearly 2 years, I was looking for angel eye headlights in black, and just stumbled across a thread on here. Im not one for forums normally, but since I get to keep my beast now, I want to keep informed and my finger on the z4 pulse....... Here seems to be the place, and have seen some great threads.

Im gonna be broke as a joke after reading some of the ideas on here!

Possibly mottram moor, not woodhead. I very occasionally take her for a blast through Hattersley and onto the m57 to denton roundabout. (obviously within all speed limits, for legal reasons)

Did you ask me about a p/x? I absolutely hated having my car for sale. haha Yeah I'm over in Gee Cross now. Was in Romiley. So you ended up in a Zed..... Nice!! :worshipbmw:
