Very Lucky Cat

A bit off topic but..

Just got a call at work from my wife saying the power had gone off and she can't get it to switch back on as it keeps tripping. I nipped home as it's only 10 minutes away to see what was going on. I switched all the circuit breakers off, turned on the main breaker and all OK so far. As I switched the downstairs sockets breaker on there was a nasty buzzing noise and the power tripped again.

After a little investigation we found that our stupid cat had for some reason decided to wee up the wall socket just inside the back door. Unfortunately for him we're in the process of decorating so the socket was hanging about half an inch away from the wall and promptly shorted out. With any luck the experience will put him off doing it again :)

Had a very similar issue. When we got our spaniel as a pup, he was a chewer. He chewed hs blanket, his plastic bed, a kitchen cupboard door. His crowning moment was when he took a shine to a wall socket. Pulled it off the wall, then started on the wires. Thankfully, the circuit breakers did their job :D

Glad your cat's OK anyway!
