Hi all, I've had an issue with my 2L "06 about 2 weeks ago I had the EML light and engine warning light pop up on the dash after a scan it came back with the p1050 & p1062. With some research and help from members on here I diagnosed it with faulty VANOS solenoids, got two Ridex solinoids from auto doc and fitted them it was clear for about a day until the codes came back, assumed it may be faulty solinoids again I purchased two more buy went for the Bilstein ones, again fitted those and around two days later the codes came back. I am somewhat lost in where to look next so any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Brad

I'd be looking at the servo motor and the cam position sensor. The motor is signalled from the sensor and that can get oil seeping past the seal and into gthe plug. The motor can start to seize too.

Thank you zed I bit the bullet and ordered me a creator c501 what a bit of kit it is plugged it in and threw these codes out I assume it's the valvetronic motor but just want someone to confirm it before I go ahead and order the part

Looks like it. Get a new motor but for peace of mind I think I would also get the cam position sensor. Sits in the front of the engine and the electrical plug sticks up through the top cover. Oil gets past the seal and into the plug. Also get a new seal for it. You’re going to be in there anyway and the two motors I’ve done I’ve had to back soon after to change the sensor as well.
