Hi all
Decided to book a hotel in Chester for the valentines weekend and combine it with a run out on the Sunday. After a lovely night out and meal on the Saturday, we awoke to be blessed with glorious sunshine all be it cold.
Headed off from our guest house and down to the river in Chester

From there we headed out into Wales for some beautifully empty roads. Heading over to Llangollen and we passed the horseshoe falls

Before making our way up the horseshoe pass

A great drive up the pass with not much traffic to bother us we stopped for a much needed cuppa and a chat at the ponderosa cafe with some other like minded individuals

Then we drove over through Corwen to try out the much talked about Evo Triangle. I've been promising myself a drive over here for a while and wow was it worth the drive. The roads were practically empty and barring stopping for a few snaps we flew up and around there. The A5 first was long and open but then as you turn onto the A453 the road gets windy with plenty of space to open it up with plenty of passing spots if you do encounter traffic then a right turn onto the B4501. All downhill from here passing by the reservoirs until you arrive back to the A5. Well worth the trip and the scenery was beautiful with the snow filled mountains in the background.

From here we took a drive down to the coast and drove through Rhyl and queensferry back towards home. Losing the light it was roof back up for the final leg but a great day out.
