Hi all,
I'm looking at replacing this on my N20 engine (seems like a simplish bolt off/on procedure), and was wondering if there were any recomendations for part manufacturers that people have used, or ones to avoid. BM want £478, have seen Vaico, Topran for 90ish and a Pierburg for £310, wondering if that price difference of the Pierburg is an indication of quality :) .

Also be interested to hear about any issues with removing/refitting that I might be missing
Cheers,
Peter

When replacing a component on your N20 engine, choosing the right manufacturer is crucial for ensuring quality and longevity. BMW's OEM part, while expensive at £478, guarantees compatibility and reliability. Pierburg, known for high-quality parts, offers a middle-ground option at £310, which is likely a good balance between cost and quality, suggesting a robust and reliable product. Vaico and Topran, priced around £90, might be more budget-friendly but could potentially compromise on durability and performance. Generally, the price difference can indicate the level of quality, with Pierburg being a reputable brand that offers quality close to OEM standards at a lower price point, making it a safer bet if you want a reliable part without paying the full OEM price.
