Having a poke around the bay today.

Cleaned the scuttle as the wiper motor needed the contacts cleaning (parking issue) and it needed it despite being ourwardly clean

Noticed the vacuum boost pipe has started to collapse in on itself like the M54 one does (see pic)

Realoem suggests it’s not a pipe on its own that can be replaced- part no 11617836602

Anyone managed to replace this on its own as opposed to the whole thing?

Stage 1 of the M tax. :poke: :D

Can you not replace the rubber part with standard vacuum hose and jubilee clips?

Replaced it years ago, part numbers 11617837112 I think for just the elbow. You'll need some new clamps as well obvs, 11151726339

Thanks Andy!

Amazing, £15 for the elbow only. A lot cheaper that is for sure. Made a note of that

Was surprised how collapsed it had become

I’ve only seen one worse on an m54 and it deffo affected running of the car

Side note here, be very skeptical of buying BMW parts on eBay from anyone other than a main dealer or the BMW UK account. Most of the new parts for sale are marked up massively, and are probably just drop shipping from a dealer anyway. The complete pump with lines is only £95 from a dealer, not £140+.

The Sytner Stevenage website is brilliant for checking prices, even if you end up picking it up from your local: https://www.sytnerstevenagebmwparts.co.uk/a/BMW_2007_Z4-M32-Coupe/_51504_11534906/Power-brake-unit-depression/34_1555.html

That is a useful link - thank you. I found the same with the windscreen surround, cheapest at BMW direct at £30 and really wild prices on eBay
