V32.2 FIRMWARE

OK Panic over, removing the battery for 15 mins has sorted it.

For anyone else that deletes their phone menu by accident this is the way to go!

I remember my first contract in London some 13 years ago - first week's (ease in) simple task was to upgrade the firmware on 10+ servers - the first one crashed on the upgrade and was unrecoverable.

Firmware... It's a russian roulette

has anyone got a link to an older version? I can't find one anywhere and need to re-update my satnav.

Still can't find a link.. if anyone can send me one I'd appreciate it..

Still can't get Post Codes to appear on the menu.. so need to downgrade and upgrade to v32 again as I don't think I've go the correct firmware installed.

I've noticed the the V32 firmware that my screen will flicker everynow and then? Anyone else's do the same? It was fine on the old V27 firmware?

So it has been a while. What do those using the V32.2 navigation firmware think of it?

Is it worth going from V32 to V32.2?

V32.2 is not an official BMW release and is seemingly a "tweaked" version of V32.

Has anyone noticed any issues with V32.2 such as the above posters flickering screen?

I think there are various flavours. Colours is one thing, some have a night colour scheme and full postcode search via the main nav menu rather than the info menus. (Obviously this then requires a hacked nav disc too). Some also have poi alerting, set up for speed cameras (also requiring a hacked disc)

The only issues I've heard of are occasional dropping into French language, and occasional lockups.

Thanks, so the "BMW Navigation OS - v32 (Night Mode, Camera Alerts, M Logo)" is the newest version?

That's just a hacked piece of illegal software that the forum cannot recommend or endorse. V32.2 OEM is linked on the same page
