Hello All,
Recently bought an 05 Z4 roadster for 'She who must be obeyed' and amazingly have not seen much of her since. I'm glad the price of petrol has come down as she's clocking up some miles having ''loads'' of fun. :thumb
Now that the weather is getting a bit cold I have a couple of questions I hope you can help with.
When the car is covered in frost, is it safe to open the door with the key fob without de-icing around the door seals. I noticed the windows drop slightly when the car is unlocked and then go up again when the door is closed. I take it this is normal. Is it better to spray some de-Icer around the door seals/ windows before opening in frosty conditions as I am afraid of having the windows 'stick' to the door seals and cause damage. (ripping the seals or blowing a fuse). Or is there a different way of opening the car in cold conditions? Also, can de-icer damage the softtop if it is oversprayed onto it?
Hope someone can help
Thanks
