Using CD changer power as remote for a new amp?

I'm going to install a small amp and subs in my 2003 Z4 which has the basic stereo.

All going well with speccing it out, just want to be sure how to get power to the remote pin on the amp. I'm thinking the easiest way might be to use the CD changer +12V power line unless anyone has a better idea? If there's accessory power anywhere else in the boot area I'm happy to splice a wire into it.

I can get to the CD wiring by just lifting the carpet on the rear bulkhead, is that right?

AFAIK the changer supply is permanent. There's the antenna module control line in the boot as an alternative.
