Useful feature - led bulbs. Is this on new bmws?

Messing around with my new bike (bmw s1000rr) this weekend, through the set up menus etc. I noticed that you can turn on/off the lamp check feature (maybe for racing?), which is useful if you want led bulbs as the canbus system then ignores them.

Is this a feature on the newer bmw cars too?

You can't do this as standard on the E89, but Carly will let you code it - you might be able to ask your dealer as well - although they might view it as non-standard, and will certainly charge.
