Great post on Pistonheads if you haven't seen it from recent BMW Auction:

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&f=23&t=662099&mid=54115&i=0&nmt=Auction%20Report:%20BMW%20&%20Mercedes%20Mega-Sale%2012%20March%2009&mid=54115

Can't comment on the other prices as I don't follow them, but a used 2006/06 Z4M Roadster with 17k miles went for £19100. I've seen them retail for less than that in the last few months.

It looks like once the remaining stock has been sold up, forecourt prices will be on the up or at least stabilise for a while. Anyone who has bought an M (or possibly any used car) over the last few months may have bagged themselves a bargain. So if you want one, get one now! :D

Yeah ive seen that post very interesting reading. That car will probably be on a forecourt for at least 23k. Apparently bmw were offering their dealers cash rebates of up to 1k on this auction but even so that's a big price for a z4m at auction.

Mate of mine who trades in "prestige" second hand autos, said the other day he is struggling to find good deals, and cars are going higher than he expected, so maybe some good news for us lot

Rearranged the Z4 prices into low-high by price (yep, I'm bored):

Makes me quite chuffed about paying £10.6k privately for my 54-plate 3.0i SE Roadster on 18k miles in Dec 2008 - closest comparison from that list above would be the 6-months-newer 2005/05 3.0i SE Roadster 29k miles sold for £12.2k :)

Guessing prices for Roadsters picks up as the weather improves? Or is that all myth...

ETA: I remember watching a 2005/05 3.0i SE Roadster on 20k miles go through BCA Glasgow at the start of December - sold for £10.5k, a massive chunk below the ones above. Based on that, prices are going up.

(more of a General Z4 post I've made by hey, up ye M owners ;) )

Based on my previous experience prices definately go up over the summer. VX220's of which 've had two they can be easily £1k more in the summer.

Don't let Breaker find out .... :D

Check the price.

Si Coupe almost the same price as that M and the si has more miles!! And the Coupe is an auto!!

2006 56 BMW Z4 3.0si Sport Coupe Auto 19k 18900 SOLD
2006 06 BMW Z4 M Roadster 17k 19100 SOLD

:poke: :P

PS. Just like to point out that pvr started the M thing, not me!

Prices tend to increase when the nice season is on the horizon and fall at the sunset of fall. I see nothing out of the extraordinary. :(

Seeing that I'm now quite happy with the £20k I paid for an approved used Dec 06 56 plate M Roadster with 16k and a number of good options recently!

Have noticed on BMW AUC site that prices appeared to have crept up recently. Mine seemed a good deal when i bought it in January, now it seems like a steal! :D
