USB IBUS interface on 2006 E86/Navcoder help!

Hello all,

Quick question, I want to install the resler USB IBUS interface in my 2006 E86 to run navcoder . The problem is I can not find the IBUS wire that is white, grey and yellow. I can find the white, red and yellow wire. :?

On Reslers website he identifies this wire as the Kbus and mentions not to use it. :(

"KBUS: (in some cars there is no IBUS) is always white/red/yellow
(In fact, in my experience, a 3-colour wire is always a data bus)
Do not use the KBUS if you can't find an IBUS wire!!!
You have to know what you are doing when you use my interface on the KBUS!!! "

Can any one point me in the right directions here? I have searched for a while but have not found a solution. So do I use the KBUS wire? ON the E46 fanatics site someone mentioned that the K and I bus are combined? So do I use the KBUS wire or not?

Thanks

Here you go.

Seem to recall they suggested using the cd changer interface.

These are the wires I use for my cp600bmw which interfaces with the Ibus (cd changer):

Looks like white/yellow/red.
My guess is that K and I bus are integrated in the same data stream. (often they talk about K/I bus)

I saw that thread thank you.

Well it looks like that is the case with these cars the K/I bus are integrated. So do you think there would be a problem using the usb interface with this wire despite the warning?

Thanks again!

Connect using the cd changer wire as they suggest. All E85/6 are the same som you will be doing the same as me which works fine and is the connection they suggest to use.

I am having a rotten time with the bluetooth module pairing so I thought this might be an easy way to fix that...I also wanted to check out some of the other features....

EVENTUALLY, I am going to replace the nav screen with a touch screen and android integration...
