Hey Folks,

Some wonderful person has taken a crowbar or something like that to OSR rim and ruined my 108! To say I'm upset is an understatement. And so I need to get it sorted sharpish.

So I've decide to take the oppotunity to change the rims but want to stick with 18's as I've only just brought some new Falken slippers.

So that being said is there anything I need to consider? Also I keep seeing 8j, 8.5j, 9j when searching sites. Any idea what this is referring too? should my Falkens 225/40's 255/35's fit on any 18'' rim?

Thanks folks

8J is the rim width. There are limits to how narrow/wide the rim can be for a given tyre section, usually available on the manufacturers website. But I would say an 8" rim is not wide enough for a 255 tyre.

some BMW replica wheels :)

Hope you get it sorted soon bud :)

Thanks Wondermike. 8j seems to be right for the front but the rears are showing on sites as 8.5,9,9.5 so its leaving me confused!? anyone any idea's on the rears?

Rocky - Thanks some nice sets on there. the DTM's look awesome. May well be tempted.

Standard 108 rears are 8.5J but you could go to 9, 9.5 or 10 depending on the offset. You might be better just picking up another 108?

Oooh, I like those Riva DTMs. And the Mag.

Ha yes , the gunmetal ones ! spotted them straight away but no E91 fitment shame . also like the MSX , , £439 for 4 ? is that right

Have they damaged just the metal star?

If so you can pick up a star and just swap it into your existing rim.
They have the rim size stamped on the star but in fact the star part is the same on all rims.

Can't choose between them , both a bit "jap drift car " for me , , but it wouldn't do if we all liked the same . Rather have the 108's 8)

Best way is to use photobucket.

Is it just the "star" that's damaged, or the whole wheel??

I wouldn't fit either of those on a Z4, but we're all different.

Refurb the damaged 108 would be my preference.

I have all sorts of 108 parts floating around at the moment so was going to offer a very reasonably priced a star if it was needed.

Hey Folks - Small update.

I've managed to find a spare (not refurbed, genuine) on ebay from a dealer called Bexsam alloys. They look pretty reputable place and the guy knows what he's talking about.

BUt before I do:
Woolybear - Thanks for the pm but if I get this one then...but thanks

RJS - Its the actual rim not the star. don't suppose you have one?

Folks thanks for the opinions on the wheels and I think I preferred the pro 1.2's but I do love the 108's! So hence I think this will be the path for me.

Again - Really appreciate everyone's help.
