Nice mod. Did you find the removal of the old indicators alright? Did you remove them from the top? I've heard others say it's quite tight and when I was doing a bumper adjustment it's the same space I had to use and it was a bit tight for my hands.
 
Yes I found it quite easy and I'm usually rubbish at doing this sort of thing. Open the bonnet and from the top look for a small grey tab at the back of the side indicators. There's plenty of instructions on the net. You need to push this tab with a flat blade screwdriver. I found I couldn't reach the tab as it's not in a direct line. The solution was to bend the screwdriver a little so it reaches round to it. You have to break a tab off the new indicators but that requires no effort. The new ones are secured by three spring clips and after you have peeled the backing tape off them they just clip in. You can't get them wrong.
