Upgrade? do you mean get the latest maps and firmware?

If it was done to an impossibly high standard, beautifully integrated, made to look OEM, etc.... you'd STILL put off 95% of all buyers and I fear burn an awful lot of money in the process.
None of us care about "the next guy" until it comes to sale time. You're not talking about dying a seat, changing some wheels, this is major work to the interior.
If you wanted to be clever you could probably gut the flip-up monitor and replace it with a large-screen garmin/tomtom or something. Could wire it to your AUX input and it isn't too hard to control everything from the dials without the screen working
