I would have been more than happy to service it anywhere, had I felt we were on the same page regarding price. You told me that was your final offer - which I wasn't (and am still not) willing to consider. You're more than welcome to offer what you like, but I can't be jumping through various hoops in order to satisfy lowball offers. I don't think that's unreasonable.

FWIW, the relationship I have with my local garage is better than any specialist I've worked with - but again, I don't have to justify my reasoning if we've got differing expectations on price.

Wholly with you op , stand your ground here.
The Si market is strong right now for the decent examples & the rarity of the white - interior - spec-miles will always carry favour.
Jmo but a service is £100 I'd be inclined to do that & up the ask to £8750 & not take any less than £8500.

A service for £100? Come on. What sort of service would that be? A service that would need to be redone is what that is.

Its a N52 not a S54 , if you are paying more than £100 for a oil service at a reputable indy then you are being fleeced & if you think you aren't then you're having yourself on . Its a 25min job with no more than £35 for the parts .
I supply my own to my garage & he charges me £40 , qualified Bmw master tech that many forum members have also used so not a back street spanner monkey .

£100 for a proper service on a car that has 2 year intervals? Come on mate....

You might pay a mate that but thats nowhere near what is normal.

Not sure what you are expecting as a "service" for a Si N52 , even the Ins1 / ins2 are hardly in depth by comparison to a S54 , in reality they offer little more than a yearly MOT would cover .

Regarding costs after owning 9 x N52s i think £100 for a basic oil & filter service is perfectly normal :?
ins1 circa £150-£200 even though it covers little more than a oil service / air filter as its predominantly a list of visual checks
ins2 no more than £300 which is a ins1 with plug change

The car appears from the initial description to have been oil serviced with micro filter/brake fluid just 6months ago & covered only a few thousand miles since then so not exactly desperately in need of attention .

That's not exactly correct. You said it needed servicing and you had a couple of BMW specialists near you and a local garage. I just said for me to buy it it would need to be by one of those specialists not a local garage so I knew it was done properly.

I would have given you a deposit and taken the car not just come to see it mate.

It's not currently selling at 8490......

Some reasons for that , it was listed higher initially on different wheels & springs ( mistake imo ) along with a large chunk of time advertised here through xmas & through a unprecedented lockdown / pandemic .
I also don't think it's up anywhere other than here ?
The Si coupe market has also strengthened the last month or so hence my comments on holding firm now
Pretty sure it would be gone in days on ebay as it is around the £8450 / £8750.
Relatively small audience here

Totally confused now( it doesn’t take much) 😂 how much are you looking for with the 19” wheels and lowered springs, and how much with the 108’s and standard springs. 👍

TL;DR - Only advertised here, no rush to sell

I've only put it up for sale here.

Reason being - It's a nice car and I'd rather it went to someone that is going to look after it. That doesn't necessarily mean that all forum members will cherish it and all non-forum members are going to run it into the ground, but it's an enthusiast's car and would like to try and preserve these where possible, as decent examples are becoming harder to come by.

I'm also not in need of the money so thought i'd put it up here and see what happens. @bg1 is correct that it hasn't yet sold at £8490, but it's getting enough interest to tell me it's priced right. It's also far nicer than what I've seen at £8k.

£8,490 is without the 19" wheels or springs.

It's becoming more complicated to field offers with/without the extras so I'm inclined to say I'll keep the 19's and sell them separately as I've had quite a few people after them on their own. Nobody seems absolutely desperate to have the car with them included (unless they were free  )

The car looks so much better on the 108’s and stock springs. The 19” wheels put me off, only became interested when Jack swapper them back.

Thanks - I agree!

Kicking myself I didn't do it earlier

Not sure how old the tyres are, they are in good condition though. They were on the wheels when i bought the car (although these wheels werent fitted to the car) and i’ve not changed them. Tread depths are on the original description

Drop me a PM and will send you my number - will take pics of the wheels

I pay £49 for an oil service on my saab 9-3 TiD with 3 lads who are ex saab techs :D

£100 sounds about right for a BMW :poke:

You got yourself somewhat of a bargain there mate 8) maybe needs a plug change as no mention in its history but looking across the market place the last few days this car stood out on Ebay as being £1k underpriced & that's without factoring in the rarity of the white paint

It wasn't him that bought it - it actually sold via Ebay.

Yeah, I do think the market has turned in the last few days but I was getting a bit fed up of people coming to kick the tyres on it/tell me how lovely it was and then lowball me :headbang:

I also think that the white was a bit marmite - personally I loved it but can see how it turned some people off.

A shame that it's gone - Wasn't my first Z4C and certainly won't be my last!
