UPDATE Z4 Hardtop

Well,I dropped the "Z" off at the dealer today to have the Hardtop install done and the regular service as well.They gave me An X5 30si for a loaner (NO CHARGE) and I must say,I am really Impressed with the X5.
It's a very nice vehicle,smoooth ride all the bells and whistles. You set the way you like the steering wheel to be with a button that works the wheel into your desired position with no hands.When you shut the vehicle down to get out.It automatically raises the wheel up and out of your way for easy exit of the vehicle.When you re-start the X5 (push button start) the vehicle remembers where you had the wheel set and automatically goes back to that position as do the seats. a lot of other nice features also.Might just have to get one of those.when your driving it you see NO HOOD (bonnet) nice job BMW :worshipbmw: :roundel:

When I was shopping around for an X3 a few months ago I heard that the X series are actually not a BMW design, but designed by a contractor for BMW production and badging.

Anyone know if there is any truth to this?

I drive an X5 everyday as my main car, albeit now the 'old' model. Without doubt the best car I have ever owned and the longest I've ever owned a vehicle.

Testimony to the fact it just does it's job so well.
