We are seeing quite a few threads where people are asking for assistance or selling items but son't have an entry under "Location" in their profile. Having a location allows people to make more localised suggestions and stops people having to ask where abouts in the country you are.
This is by no means mandatory, feel free to leave it blank if you like, but just a heads up for those who may have left it blank when they registered not thinking it would be useful.
To update your location click "User CP" in the header bar above, then click "profile"' and update the location field.
