Unbelievable

My 2.5 auto managed 35mpg in appalling weather on a 100 mile drive back from the New Forest, which I was happy with. Been showing 32 ish on daily trips since. Computers are often a bit optimistic though, so if I can be bothered I will do a brim to brim check. What is you avarage brim to brim, Rob?

Hi Paul, only had the car for a little over a week-my previous e85 3.0si could do high 30's and the e89 has the same n52 engine. I'd expect very similar from it

IIRC those members who've done their own mpg test have reported that the computer is very accurate.

What's that like to drive.?

It's a very rapid car, just shy of 600hp but so refined you wouldn't know it until you hit the loud pedal, think it does 0-60 in around 4 seconds so it's not a million miles away from my 35is, however it's the way it accelerates once you are moving that makes it feel supercar fast, lovely bit of kit

Wow that's a stunning piece of kit. I'd have one in a heartbeat ( but I'm poor )

Thanks for sharing

It is, and only the excessive depreciation on it has prevented me to have one.

I LOVE the RS6 Avant, and have been close to buying one on 3 occasions in the last couple of years.

ONLY reason I haven't, is the fear of one of my kids opening the door and being confronted by a person/people that want the keys to it, sadly a very real threat with these. I have two bobbies living within 50yards of my house, one of whom is a senior officer in the "Matrix" he tells me that they are the car most stolen using aggravated means to get the keys. He strongly advised me not to buy one :(

Would be ideal for me, get a bit of stock in the back etc :)
