Unable to remove third brake light

I have a new break light on the way since the dealership would not replace mine. (should be here Wednesday). I went ahead and tried to remove the old one, so it would take less time to install when the light arrives. I was able to unscrew all of the nuts and remove the springs (all 3), but was unable to get the light out. The left side was loose, but the right side would not budge. Is there something keeping the right side of the light in it's place? Should it just be able to come straight out? I did not want to be forceful with it and possibly break it before the new one comes in.

I don't think so- I unplugged it, even tried to feed it through a litle.

I guess they don't call it a brake light for nothing. Yank it out. :? Make sure you get the 40N springs (63 25 6 900 698) if you don't already have them.
