Hi guys I have a couple of queries for all you knowledgeable folk. I have my Z4 coupe on BMW Select and absolutely adore the car, but when my lease time is up in about 15 mths I reckon with the current fall in values of second hand cars that it will not be worth me buying it outright as it will be worth less than the guaranteed price they are giving me anyhow. My car while 2 years old now is more of a weekend toy and has only done about 12k miles. I have a feeling that by the time I hand it in it is likely to have about 20k miles and no doubt will require a new pair of boots at about 15-18k miles. It will be just my luck that just before I have to hand it in I will have to pay a fortune for new tyres and as it is on a select plan no doubt they will insist that they are RFT's etc....
So I was thinking that I may change my tyres now to Falken 452's and at least enjoy the next 15mths and as I have some life left on the Bridgestone RFT''s I will keep them and replace them before I hand the car in thus no issue from BMW, however I have a couple of queries:
1. Will BMW under the select plan insist that when I return the car that it has a set of RFT's?
2. Can RFT's be taken off and then put back on ok?
3. Whar is the best way to store tyres for this length of time - can it be done and what are the do's and don'ts?
4. Are the Falken's the best tyre for in and around the £400 mark?
5. What sort of mileage should you expect out of the RFT's?
Many thanks.
