Tyre sealant experiences?

I had a puncture the other day in a non runflat and feared the worst as I could hear air escaping from the tyre as I was trying to inflate it

I tried to some tyre sealant as a last resort and was surprised to find that the tyre inflated and stayed up overnight

Presumably though this is only designed to get you home/to a tyre dealer rather than for medium/long term use?

Haven't had to use my sealant kit thus far, but I do remember from the instructions that it's only supposed to be a temporary fix. You should probably get that taken care of as soon as possible.
