Tyre pressure sensor reset

I am having to reset my pressure sensors on a regular basis , I check the tyre pressures before I reset and usually only need about 0.50 bar maybe in one , sometimes they dont need any air! How do these sensors work , is there a "gizmo" inside the tyre that recieves a signal or a sensor detecting the rolling radius in the wheelarch? Hopefully it has nothing to do with the fact I ditched the runflats ages ago ? Any guru on here enlighten me please. :) :driving:


Just found on search it seems to be an abs hub sensor that does the work, might have a dicky one :) :driving:
 
Hi , is there any way of testing the abs sensor or should I just bite the bullet and buy one hoping it's the first one I change and not have to buy all four until I find the offending sensor :) :driving:
