Tyre pressure query & a note to the admins

Hi Folks,

Ive a question about the correct tyre pressures for my Z4 Coupe. Im running the bog standard Potenza 255/35/18 's and had a note from BMW stating 33psi on the front and 39psi on the rear. Seems a bit high to me - but there you go.

Ok, for the admins. I run a site not dissimilar to this for the company I work for and - if I might make a suggestion - wouldnt it be an idea to create a "reference" thread or page and dump all the technical info into there?

And, before those of you hankering to write a scathing response to my tyre pressure question - I dont have the sticker on the sill...

33psi is correct for the front, but the rears should be 36psi - as listed in your owner's manual (as you've already said you've not got a sticker - and why not?).

Its not in the owners manual either - unless someone can correct me?

Not sure why I haven't got a sticker - but I haven't - hence the question. And even if I did know why I didnt have one - well.... - it still wouldn't help would it?

Thanks. Page 78 of my manual explains how to put fuel in the car. I havent anything in there on tyre pressures - just a disclaimer that should I need to know I should ask a dealer. Seems odd that BMW themselves said 39 Psi though..

In mine, the fueling pages are only 2 pages before the tyre pages.

Well, just a quick update on the sheer range of responses from BMW and assorted dealers...bearing in mind Im using bog standard 108's with RFT's and with 225's on the front and 255 on the rear....
