So, as it stands I have Sat Nav, and have bought a BMW TV tuner. Do I need a BMW cable to link the TV tuner to the Sat Nav?

I will be adding this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/200616043567?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 cable to be able to add in other video sources, but before I start pulling trim out, am I going to need another BMW cable?

Yes, you need the cable which joins the turner to the nav drive. Plus an aerial cable. Bmw dealer can supply for you. It is plug and play.
 
Thanks, thought I did. Any idea on cost? Dealer = bend over?

I won't need the aerial as I'm not using the analogue tuner for TV.

Can you tell me what your TV turner is like got my eye on one from an E46 M3 not sure if it will work

Not sure what info you're looking for?

You can check the part number on google to make sure its the widescreen model, other than that, yes it should work.
 
Er, aren't old tv tuners a bit pointless now the country has switched to digital. Unless you're buying a digital module. E46 would more than likely be analogue and you'll only be ale to watch static.

yeah i was wondering that... mine has the tv thingy but there is nothing to pick up anymore :(

is it just a case of getting a replacement tv box that does digital?
 
I have a digital tuner with usb video player to piggy back on the bmw tuner, just sorted cables to attach to the nav.

I have the BMW tuner, a digital tuner with aerials, and have sourced the cable for joining the digital tuner to the BMW tuner.

I thought all i now needed was a video link cable between sat nav and bmw tuner?
