Hello All,

Pretty used to the whole forum car scene with owning a classic mini and an MR2, but will be new to owning a german zed4.

Living in bristol, currently buying panels to restore the mini and let the SW20 MR2 into someone elses hands so i can move onto a 3l roadster to have fun in and not have to modify nor give TLC like previous cars.

The mini when i got it (10+ years ago)

Will be seeing a Micra lump go in and a few other things.

That's a brief little intro, will more than like be active once an owner :driving:

Hi and welcome to the forum. When I read "dark side" I thought it would be a post from some crazy guy going to get a Coupe. What a relief!

You sound like someone who will appreciate the advice from the folk on here - you won't be disappointed.

Good luck with your search.

(It may be a quirk of my iPad but I cannot see the pics you posted.)

No it's not your apple, it's facebook. Will have to see what else is online.

Not driven a coupe... Not worth it.?

Being 6ft that isn't what I need. Roadster it is!!

Is service history that important? I've always serviced my own cars more often than what the manufacturer requires and being such a lump in a small car I can't imagine the engine being laboured that much.

Being a classic owner I'm paranoid about rust how do these stand up with age and salty roads.?

Hi and welcome to the Forum. Winter problems - like any car depends on how you maintain but in general no issue. Had mine 10 years from new and certainly no corrosion issues. 108 wheels (split rim) look good but have been a problem - refurb restores them to a better finish than new and you can always change the colour.

Sorted them for you, with Facebook link you have to open them out of the lightbox in a new window then copy the link from there

Hi and welcome to the forum

Ignore the biased ragheads on here - I've owned both a roady and a coupe and they are both great cars

I'm driving the coupe because it is / was a daily and the visibility is much much better than trying to see through the big rear pillars of the roadster when the roof is up

BTW there is no headroom issue in a coupe so depends what you are going to use the car for

There are a few of us Bath / Bristol folks who regularly meet up and have a passion for early Sunday morning trips out so you will be more than welcome to join us

And if you want a look at a coupe give me a shout

The only PIC I have of it! Been too busy driving and working to give it a good proper clean and decent picture.

Andy takers for the mr2?
