Tuning Mods

Hey up!

Im in the process of selling my old car, and once I do I'll be looking to do a few performance mods to my Z4 35is. Currently I'm looking at:

Large FMIC
ESS Tuning Remap
Charge Pipe
Air Intake (maybe, not sure if it needs it)

What performance mods have others done? Any suggestions?

Sounds like you've got the most "bang for buck" power upgrades on your list and would see the car running quite healthy numbers! There is lots of debate about whether the cars benefit from breathing mods, BMS do a nice looking and affordable Dual Cone Intake that has good reviews but unless you are running 400+ the consensus is to do it for that induction sound not gains.

Planning to do it all in one hit (enjoyable drive home!!) or staggered over ownership?

I have BMS filters , they sound better than stock

You can hear the turbos spool but I would not say they were loud

You should look at MHD for tuning

You need to look at suspension mod's too as the 35i is a handful in stock form

I have H & R springs , H & R anti roll bars front and rear with Superpro bushed drop links

Ride is much improved although still not perfect

lsd and better tyres are probably the best mod. It's not short on power, but cant put it down.

If only I could afford a LSD! Tyres are going to be non-runflats when I need a new set (probably in the near future!)
