trying out a new bullet cam system

Looks great!!... hows about trying a really low down mounting option to really get the sense of speed? Friend of mine did that for the new mini promo with Colin McRae and the effect was great.

strangely i have done this before, but low down for me was in the front grille of the Z4 do about 450mm off of the ground. BUT because it was a disembodied view it gave a sensation of speed but without some of the car in the shot which sort of frames the shot it was odd.

I will try it, but I will need to get a lens protector first as the camera being hit by a stone is a real possibility!! a new camera is £160+ so until i get the lens protector I wont be trying that.

I'm out to Spa next week and the biggest test will be in the radical. i have a helmet mount which is the one i am really desperate to try out, again making sure that some of teh helmet is in the frame to give that "point of view" feeling.

I will post as soon as i can the results if this.

Good point regarding the lens protector, was gonna mention that... you are right about the framing the shot though, although if you are going to cut together multiple takes then a bit of variety would be cool too
