Trip to the ring!

Going to Nurburgring, mid october (weekend of the 15&16 if any one is out there). Got a track day booked up the week before at my local track with some tuition and to test my car out. Will be sorting 'ring insurance' out soon. Fitted E46 330 brakes recently with ATE super blue and braided lines. Will be doing an oil change before i go, any other car prep advised? Or advise in general (apart from don't time yourself and play the track on a PS3)

Has any one that has driven the ring put a sat nav in without a destination just to see what corners are coming up like a live 'ring map'?

I don't buy into the don't time yourself or PS3 thing at all.......that'll be the drama queens again

It's just a road, drive it with a bit of common. If you drive like a co(k on the road, you'll probably drive like one there too.....if you drive with control on the road, you'll probably do the same there.

My mates son uses a games system of some sort and during a lap knew every section prior to us getting to it, despite never being there before. I had a look at his game once home and was amazed at just how accurate it is . Obviously to commit to corners from a games system will take you back to the co(k comment.

The sat nav thing has been done by many, however not something I'd do, that's a distraction I could/would do without.

A basic check of tyres/pads/oil prior to going makes sense......... and NO FLUID LEAKS!!!

Once you get to grips with where the final corner is , hug the inside kerb and crawl along at 40-50 on the final straight and let the car cool down (esp brakes).

Overtake ONLY on the left. I indicate right to let faster traffic know I've seen them.
