I was looking at my insurance documents (needed to print a copy)

and noticed that the car is listed as being an si se.

the car was sold as an AUC from bmw (even listed as an si sport.

confused I ran the car through webuyanycar (as a check) again it came up as an si se.

little confused now as to what the car is.

rubmw just has the car listed as an 3.0si

not that I'm worried, just a little confused, can anyone shed some light?

plus 18" inch wheels - that would make it an SI Sport.
 
It could be an Si SE with all the sport options ticked, no idea why anyone would do that because it would be more expensive that way.
 
Believe your car is a coupe, not sure how old but on our 56/57 plate coupes the sports has dark roof lining SE is light. Mine is the SE but had sport seats and a few other things specified which make it look more like a sport.
 
In that case I would have words with the insurance people. They took some convincing that our 5 series was an auto as their system said it was manual.

Is that the hatched piece we sometimes see on peopels seats?
Did we ever get to the bottom of this - why did some cars get it and some didnt?

Checked over with the finance docs and all the hand over docs too, all say the car is an si sport.

so just wondering if this makes my insurance invalid.

It probably means they are undervaluing your car a bit and you wouldn't want to give them the wriggle room.

They very generously corrected our insurance free of charge when we pointed out their mistake :/
