Travel Advice Si Us Plau - Barcelona

Hi all,

Cheers for all your help and advice in my previous thread about a trip to Paris, was a belting trip and those who suggested stopping in Montmartre were spot on, what a view from by the Sacre Couer!

Now planning a trip to Barcelona, thinking about 4 nights there in June of this year. Any advice/tips/tales/vaguely amusing quips greatly appreciated :)

Looks like I can get flights there and back for pennys, so frees up a bit more room in the budget for a hotel, ideally 4 or 5*, but location is just as important.

Just watch out for pick pockets , especially at night after a couple of drinks , the working girls don't just sell services !
Years since I've been but just be a tourist , see the sights , sounds a bit odd but I remember some of the best eating was in the cafés in the huge indoor food market , can't remember what it was called but you'll not miss it , and you know it's fresh !
 
Wish I could help but my only experience of Barcelona was going there about 15 years ago to attend a wedding which was out of town so didn't do anything touristy. It's definitely on my list to go back to as I've heard its great. Hope you have a fab trip.
 
I find San Sebastián much nicer than Barcelona , so did the people with me , one well travelled one commented that it was like Barcelona but nice !
Just in case you were open to alternatives
