Saw this on another forum:

Very cool; a virtual trip back in time. Left click over each photo as you scroll down the page, and drag your mouse back and forth left to right to be instantly transported to 1944.

Never seen that before and extremely effective - will give me a fresh viewpoint for most places I visit. Wish I had a left click button in life!

Just watched a programme about Holloway Prison and there was some film showing the 3 ships as in the first pic in the link, although the soldiers in the landing crafts in the foreground were different.
