Transmission warning light.

Hi everyone new owner here.
Recently bought my first Z4 as a summer toy.It is a 2003 2.5 auto and so far love it to bits.
It does however have a fault. It has happened maybe 4/5 times in the last month and only happens first thing in the morning.I turn on the ignition and all the warning lights come on then go out as expected but on these few occasions the transmission light stays on.If i start the engine then just move the gear lever through the gears turn the car off again then start it up again all is ok again. So it appears the car knows/thinks there is a fault before i have even started it.I am sort of suspecting low gearbox oil and am planning to have a filter/oil change done but wondered if any of you may have other ideas.
Thanks in advance.
Sean

Also have a 2.5 auto, though problem free so far.Unable to offer much advice, other what I have seen on Mike Brewers Autotrader, every auto problem they have ever had has been solved with an oil and filter change in the gearbox, for the price it has to be a good start.Best of luck.

Dont hang around . i would have the autobox oil checked / replaced ASAP . Serious money if you goose it :?
